The Nikon D is my first DSLR. For the price, it is a great starter camera. I've had mine for about two years now and I have taken it everywhere I travel to. The D is small compare to other DSLRs therefore it is a great camera to travel with. The KIT lens works wonderful for traveling also. Although is not telephoto, it is pretty wide for some cool shots. I also bought a mm . fstop lens to complement my D. This is where the D lacks features. It does not have an autofocus motor in the body . I have to manual focus with that particular lens which could be a hassle at times. The camera has lasted me for quite some time now and it seems that it still could handle much more. I am really happy with my purchase. If you want a starter DSLR camera the D is the perfect camera for you. If you will be interchanging lenses with this camera I would not recommend it because of the lack of the autofocus motor in...

I recently reviewed the E-P a couple months ago stating it would be my last camera. Well, I lied. I started getting into video more, so I wanted a camera with full manual control and P at an affordable price. That narrowed it down to a D, Ti, or GH. I chose the GH mainly due to lens compatability and size. My feelings towards the camera were a bit cold at first. I knew that it was loaded with features, but I guess the E-P's aesthetics and my G just felt "warmer" when using it. The GH is a bit more industrial, but now that I'm used to it, it really doesn't matter much. The main feature that separates the GH from many cameras, not just m, is the high-bitrate P video after hacking. I won't get into technicalities, but I will say that most of my footage has been nothing short of amazing.
